BIO

Sakem is an Italian rock band from Milan, formed in 2014. The band's line-up includes founder Lexx Kriminalstar (lead vocals), alongside members Gio Ciocca (bass), Wolf (guitar), Riga (guitar) and Bad Meloni (drums).
Formed after the separation from Lexx's previous band, the death metal act Kenos, Sakem combines elements of a heterogeneous background with a line up of skilled musicians coming from other important experiences: guitarst Wolf (Alberto Presotto) was previously part of the gothic band Operanoire as well as playing for Italian major pop singer L'Aura; bass player Giovanni Ciocca was guitarist of the doom metal act Blood Stained Host during the "Individual Theatre" album era (1998) and, aside from Kenos, frontman Lexx had also been singing in the Thrash Metal band Black Propaganda.
As soon as formed, Sakem start right away to write original music: a first single, Tatanka, is released in 2015, followed by a live version of Revolver, from the upcoming first album NWD (New War Disorder).
In 2015 Sakem headlines an Italian tour of bands fighting for musicians's rights in the national live event Rock Against SIAE.
In the meanwhile, the band finds its own sound, blending together musical expertise and personal ideas which will end up in a studio album where groove metal, stoner rock and classic hard rock meet modern electronic atmospheres and extremely catchy riffs and melodies.
New War Disorder is due out in January 2017, anticipated, in December 2016 by the release of the first single and official videoclip of the band: Hangman, a metaphorical journey into a realm of deep symbols and metaphors, which is dear to frontman Lexx, who writes all the lyrics for Sakem.
A video for Hangman was shot in the ghost town Consonno by creative director Michael Gardenia (Destrage, Alteria).
